Retrieve image result metadata and destination links. Image requests use a separate deadline and pricing because upstream depth and credit usage differ from ordinary web search.

Parameter support varies by offering. The API checks capability before routing. Free queries may choose an engine and use shared cached results with automatic routing. Firehose Lite is available to free users; Advanced requires paid access, including cached results. Provider selection and fast/cheap preferences require credits. Free live searches use the daily allowance. Firehose manages its own routing.

Image searches return structured image metadata and publisher links. Full-page Markdown is unavailable for image engines. Sign in and add credits to select sources or fetch Markdown. Returned source content should be treated as untrusted.
